I'm sure that this has probably been beaten to death by now with people raging about the system, and I agree that it generally works as intended. However, I have a few things I would like to put forward about this.

When you dodge during a promotion game, you are handed a loss because you 'refused to play the game' and therefore deserve to lose. While I understand the idea behind this is to prevent people from dodging games until they get perfect team comps and just abusing dodges to climb, climb, climb, I also feel that it is detrimental.

Riot has frequently discussed how poor of an environment for teamwork champion select currently is. I could cite various red posts, but anyone who reads anything that Riot puts out knows what I'm talking about. They're looking into changing the system, but as it stands champion select is currently the WORST place for teamwork in the game. It is a toxic environment where people are prone to saying 'mid or feed' and/or don't like the fact that pick order trumps call order.

So why, then, should the person on promotion be forced to sit through a game with three people that want to go mid, and have chosen the champs to do so, because they were obstinately refusing to take any other role? I do not see how this is fair to the person that is up for promotion, because it's a guaranteed loss, but they're forced to take it. There's not 'playing it out to see how it goes' there's only 'surrender at 20'. Or, you know, having your team refuse to surrender even though it's 0/34.

What I propose is that, at least until champion select is fixed, that summoners on promotion be given a single grace dodge for every promo. This would prevent an individual from being forced to take a loss one way or another. While I do admit that this may be abused slightly, the chances of it actually working out are less so, and it's more likely that the people that would be prone to abusing this system would waste their single grace and then probably take a loss anyway.

I do not think that this is too great of a thing to ask, and it would help remove some of the toxic pressure from champion select until we can find a better, more permanent solution.

They wouldn't ever consider giving a "grace" dodge. People complained about having the series cancelled after a dodge, they changed it to just a loss. Now you're complaining about getting a loss? What is wrong with you people? Dodging a game is NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. Why do you think the only way to dodge is to log out during champ select? Because it is frowned upon and people are supposed to take the hand they are dealt when they are matched up whether they like it or not. Smh...
