The answer is still and will always be No. Spell Vamp and Lifesteal function on completely different levels; while Thornmail is needed to be a check to lifesteal, Spell Vamp does not need a true counter item.

Why does every noob seem to think this is a great idea and make a badly-written thread, then proceed to get downvoted to hell... AP thornmail=no.

Like who even builds Thornmail anyway besides Rammus...

Ok, I'll spell this out for you because no one who posts this seems to get it, carry damage is the highest in the game, and its sustainted. Having an item so that you can watch a viegar one shot himself is fun for you but then NO ONE will ever play a mage again, and it becomes a tanky DPS free for all. Personally i don't think void staff shreds enough MR considering most mages are based around high burst and low sustain.

Magis Shouldn't be punished for doing the ONE thing they do Cast Spells. AD Carries and Bruisers can do plenty of damage through their abilities asell, which Thornmail doesn't punish.

there's a reason auto attacks are constant spells aren't, there's also a force of nature which is similar except it doesn't rebound and instead gives u increased regeneration
