I honestly believe there is a serious flaw in Dominion matchmaking. I see games like this all the time. Take a look:

As you can see, I was put on a team with four people who were extremely new at Dominion (and the game). Our team was put against a team with almost SIX times the wins (the doesn't even count total games with losses) played.

I see massive imbalances like this all the time. We still won because I put on my tryhard helmet, but that doesn't change the fact that this flawed matchmaking runs rampant in Dominion.

Does this happen to anyone else?

It has not happened to me personally. But a lot of people do show screenshots of this happening to them.

go for it dude. Anyone who can post screen shots like this should definitely post them. It would be 100x more fun to have equally skilled players on each time

complaining about a team that you won with? weird, I have fun when I win

I don't have fun carrying 4 people completely new to the game. I want to play with people who have some experience. Why is that such a hard request?

If you are playing Halo and you are good, do you want to play against people who have never played before and farm them, or do you want a good challenge?

If you are playing Basketball, or any physical sport, do you want people on your team who have played before, or never seen the game?


If you are playing Pool, doubles, do you want someone on your team who has never played before ? Or on the other team ? No, you want someone of equal skill.

This can be applied universally to all games.

Matchmaking based on elo, not wins.

The other guys on your team were probably a premade (elo boost).

Smurf detection in effect (you).

No indication of how many losses the other team had.

You won the game because, despite their wins, the other team was still bad at this map.

Not seeing a problem really.

You have no +/- Elo after 0 wins (ashe) and the others had only a few (not enough to cause drastic changes)

I think the Ashe/Shyvana Qued together, but they had very few wins (and a Resulting low ELO )

There were smurfs on the other team - they didn't get put with lvl 1s

That doesn't change the massive gap in Experience playing the game. With over 5.9x the amount of wins, you could expect the number of losses to be similar.

We won because I used my Ashe as a meatshield for most of the game.



The problem is that matchmaking is supposed to pair you with players of equal skill. I'm not saying I'm pro. I'm saying whatever skill level I am at, I want to play with other players of that skill. Clearly only the corki was, and the other three we carried. That is the problem.

I thought this was common knowledge..
