If you have 2 health crystals in your inventory and you purchase either rod of ages or banshee's veil, it will use both crystals. i assume the same will happen if you just buy catalyst when you have 2 health crystals in your inventory, but i haven't tried that yet.

let me know if anyone else has this problem

Thanks for posting! We're looking into a fix. This will happen to any duplicate recipe items.
