I just had a rare game where my team was happy that I was playing AP Shaco. Fairly low elo too, depends on the people you get in queue. Most are immature but not all.

People are defiantly more flexible on which champion you pick for a given role at 800 Elo in ranked than I even see when I play normals, as long as you clearly communicate what role you are playing and how you are building the champ so they can adjust the team to match.

Highly debatable, from my experience it's 50/50 whether it's going to be accepted or flamed hard (at ~800 elo).

Ranked takes time to get used to, I'd say 1200 is doable by the end of the year though.
