Actually you got yours wrong. The servers use the PDT timezone (UTC -7) while Sydney is currently in the EST timezone (UTC +10), this equates to Sydney being ahead by 17 hours. All you need is basic maths to figure out that 12 AM for the servers is 5 PM for those in Sydney.

It's only a little after 5:30 AM at their office as I type this, the person responsible for activating the sign-up process most likely doesn't start work until much later. And if anyone is at the office they are likely busy with their own duties in their own department to even check this thread.
