It might of been 2 teams, and the Katarina team finished first and it simply got pushed up. Would you rather they not wait to announce something until it's ready? If they give us early announcements, which most of us appreciate, it can't be guaranteed we'll get them in a particular time frame. Things get moved up, things get done faster, etc.

Hopefully, her new ult will be immune to some things, perhaps silences? Her ult is really what makes her very strong in combo with her Shunpo, and it's so sad to see that her ult can be shut down by so many champs nowadays.

Seems like some interesting changes. The only downside is it being that kat will be everywhere upon release...and Kat is one of the primary champs that extra ******y players main and gloat about it....so yay :/
