That will result in them getting a champ they're strong in, you getting a champ you're strong in, and the enemy not counter picking you.

Or you can instalock Darius, and have the enemy team last pick Kayle Top and Jungle Alistar, and you just feed the whole game.
You can do that, how do you do that?

The person who picks first has priority on pick (even though others may not like it, sorry, but literally they do have pick priority).

As the champ select progresses, in such a case, one just has to suck it up and do something else if what they "called" has been taken by the time they can choose (we call this, in the adult world, being a "team player" - I understand there is more than one way to be a team player, i.e. working with people who "call" something - life isn't far - I haven't played mid in over a week because of working with the team at champ select). Well, either that or you can *****, troll and act like a child (CAPS MEANS I HAVE PUBES - YOU CAN TELL, RIGHT?!?).

Counterpicking is when you chose a champ with a skill set that shuts down the oppositions selection.
Did you know some champs don't have a hard counter, in which case it becomes more of one's skill vs their opponents?

I didn't say that counterpicking is dumb.
I will say that it isn't required to pick support/adc/jungle (or whatever) as the first 3 picks, but it is clearly a bad choice to pick a champ early with obvious counters. One team has to pick mid/top first, yes?

I said to play with what you have to work with. Or, *****, troll and act like a child.

Can you guess which one of these options is more likely to result in a win for your team?

I think the argument stems from ranked vs non.

Ranked Play: Yes, better communication is a must, and trading, to stop counter-picking.

Non: First call=What you get. In a non-ranked match, non-draft, if I call mid first, I expect it. If I call it right after someone else, I will kindly ask if I can get it. And do. 90% of the time I get it if I ask kindly. When I'm denied? And I really wanted to play someone? I play someone else, deal with it, grow up, and still enjoy my game.

*shrug*
I was referring to ranked.

Best course is when someone, say first pick, says they are playing mid, then a later picks says, "ok trade me for Ez", then the first pick choses Ez and trades for mid after the opponents have revealed theirs.

Better than first pick chosing mid first, better that they (in all rights) get the role they want (they are first pick - again the other option for them is to not work with team in this manner and pick mid anyway, it is their right as first pick to do so) and better overall for team as it shows the ability and willingness to work together before the game even starts.

Of course, you run into the same problem with kids if you are unlucky enough to get them on your team.

I call my role every match. If I call first, that's where I'm going. (I own an Alienware. Sorry if your PC can't keep up or if you don't type as fast as I do).

Now, there's a difference between myself and others. I'm very respect/manners oriented. If I call jungle or wherever first and someone says "Too bad, I'm first." I will, without a doubt, pick my character as I originally intended... It's flat out rude to be a jerk just because you're first pick. On the other hand, if someone asks politely if I can do another role, then I'll happily oblige. I refuse to give in to childish notions of "I'm first, so I don't care." People need to be more considerate and that's why I orient myself based on manners, as opposed to power gaming.

That is all. #TextBlock

I never understood how being the first person to type something entitles them to that.

I paste something to the effect of:
playing as available per position of pick, in order: mid jungle top adc

usually followed by 3 people calling mid (my comp is great and I paste faster than others type - usually first in)

Since I pasted first, I win, right?

Again, I haven't went mid in over a week. I just don't understand that mindset.

Why can't people just be intelligent when picking roles, be a nice person. Someone calls mid and they are last pick, just let them have it since they have the opportunity to counter pick and potentially have an easy lane. If your first pick calls mid, be nice and trade with them so that they dont get countered and feed the enemy team because you were too butt hurt over the fact that they called mid and you got stuck on support. If the entire community acted this way, everyone would play the game happier and would most likely have more fun playing in a competitive but peaceful environment. People need to remember that this game is for fun, and you can be competitive and still have fun, but when people argue over who has the right to a spot, first pick or first call it makes the game stressful and players get angry at each other before the game can even start, making trolls a more likely thing to happen.

This is because there are so many people in this world who shouldnt exist (no child left behind - we pander to the lowest common denominator, because it is not politically correct to do so otherwise); meaning a lot of people that play this game, the reason elo hell exists.

If you don't agree, think of how many mothers cannot produce enough milk to sustain their baby.

If you don't know what this means, that is ok, but it is true (wrap it up++); we have many generations of formula babies in this world and it is getting worse. If terrorists were smart they would hit these factories (note: "worth it" - terrorists are not smart, they elimintate the wrong targets).

Moral of this story, there is a reason you find large breasts attractive. And I have had too many beers.
