I never fully understood the Hextech design. Do they have anything to do with the lore?

Hextech is very much part of the lore, even though custom skins typically arent. Glance around the rest of the forum. There are a number of threads discussing the concept.

-On Technomancy and magic, featuring a cameo appearance by Babaganoosh.

-And here we have chatter about skins being LIES. DIRTY LIES.
