Seals and glyphs specifically. Are they worth it any more? What are the better options for basic rune pages this season?

They're still very worth it. Remember that runes are all for early game, not so much for late. Having armor/mr runes active BEFORE the enemy gets their haunting guise/sorc boots, or their brutalizer? That makes a big difference in the laning phase. Try without using them and see how much more fragile you become.
