Despite being a champion in the League of a long time, gaining popularity among summoners while battling on the Fields, Taric always have been very reserved about his personal life outside his champion duties.

However, this is about to change. After a lot of meditation on the subject, Taric decided it was time for him to open himself to the media and join the "Ask a Champion". What kind of secret is the Gem Knight is hiding? Who will be his friend, or foe? Why is the narrator making so many questions?

"Ask away, summoners and champions, all doubt shall be shattered

-Taric"

((EDIT: Time to stop being lazy and give Taric an actual room!))

Those who seek to enter the Gem Knight's room will be greeted by a solid light-blue crystal slab as a door. It doesn't seem to have any keyhole or handle, and this is intentional, as only Taric (or any other gem-specialized-geomancer, but Taric is the only one known so far) can open it. The door seems completely solid and flat, except for the door eye/peephole. It took a while to make the door, but the Gem Knight really likes to protect his privacy

Light is provided by semi-circular crystals on the ceiling, probably one of Taric's gem-inventions. They keep the room well lit, although they can be controlled to be more or less intense, or even produce other colors, if really needed.

The room itself is surprising ordinary, it's made of the same stone as the rest of the Institute. Actually, it doesn't really look like a champion's personal space, it's more like a study room with a bed

Taric's bed is on the far left corner, next to small desk and simple chair. Hanging on the wall close by the bed, both the Crystal Hammer and Diamond Shield hang in the wall, whenever Taric isn't wielding them. The rest of the walls are almost totally covered by bookshelves, with books carefully organized by theme (crystalogy, herbalism, chromomancy, gemomancy...) and title (in alphabetic order). Some of the bookshelves are also filled with a large collection of gems. There are nothing that seems "personal" to Taric, although one could consider his books "personal", since they remind him of his father.

Finally, on the center of the room there is a large circular table with four chairs, despite the fact visits are rare (at least until now). Despite being well organized with the bookshelves, the table is generally more chaotic, there's always different types of gems, books and scrolls spread all over it

Why are gems *wheeeeze* truly outrageous?

Also, *wheeeze* what is your breakfast of champions?

Pix flutters into Taric's room with a seemingly large letter, dropping it in front of the Gem Knight. The letter read as follows:

Hey Taric,

Your gem crystal things are very shiney. How do you make them so shiney?

Also, what your hammer thingy made of? Pix says it's made of glass but it feels more like diamonds on the fields.

Oh, and how do you keep your hair so stylish? Even with the rainbow spider's help I still can't keep my fur as neat.

-Signed Lulu

"Why wouldn't gems be truly, truly outrageous?" - said Taric with a smile -"Gems are more than just precious stones. Their unique characteristics give them equally unique powers, specially when enchanted with arcane power. I'm surprised champions undervalue the power of gems - don't we use crystal sapphires to enhance our mana and ruby crystals for vigor?"

"About the breakfast" - Taric takes some time to think. Such a personal question, but also a really good one - "I usually like to start the day with a healthy breakfast, fresh fruit and bread to give me energy on the Fields, I try to keep my body crystal clean from impurities" Taric stares at Urgot's body - or what is left of it - "I guess that isn't a problem for you, any longer..."

"Thanks, Pix" - Taric grabs the letter as it falls

After reading it, he sits down and writes the answer

"Dear Lulu

Pure, high quality gems are naturally shiny, but also rare. Thankfully, I can repair clean up gems using my magic, if you have any jewelry you need fixed, please bring them to me and I will help. Also, the gems and armor I wear glow with my magic, giving them this mystical arcane glow

About the hammer... I'm sorry for all the times I've hit you, I had no intention of hurting you, I hope you didn't get too injured. It's actually made of a special type of crystal I've created. When wielded by me, I can make it as hard as diamonds, and attack enhance my attacks with mana. However, if used by someone else, the hammer would be weaker than glass, completely harmless."

Taric turns his head to the corner, where he left his crystal hammer. He worked on that weapon for months, but after many failed prototypes, he finally created a weapon that can't be used to hurt people. Well, Taric can, but he only uses it for self defense and League matches

"About my hair... I've been asked this question many times before, although I didn't answer. It's actually a secret, a family secret that my mother told me that was taught by her mother and so on. Yeah, I'm a man, but man are allowed to have good hair, right? I will tell you the secret one day, I promise you, just don't tell the spiders about it

-Taric"

Taric had no idea what was a rainbow spider - "I guess I'll have to pay Lulu a visit later on and find out myself - he said to himself. He wasn't really used to visiting other champions, but what could go wrong?

Dear Taric, the gem knight.

I apologize if this statement is offensive to you, but many a summoner says this is true. However, I want to know the truth.

Are you gay?

Taric sighs - "Yes, I'm aware of what summoners say about me, and I can't blame them, I avoided this question for too long and there is that episode with the pink armor..."

Taric took a small pause to think on his next words. It's the answer everyone has been waiting for, after all

"No, I'm actually not gay, no problems with gays, but I'm not one of them. About the pink armor... There was this one day, I was drinking with Gragas and some other champions, I can't quite remember" - Taric wasn't sure if he couldn't fully remember the episode because of the alcohol or simply was afraid to remember - "Anyways, after a few rounds of drinks, I pass out, or at least my memory is blank. All I remember is waking up like this in the next morning... I've stopped drinking since them"

It's okay, Taric. Talon got 115 warrants in Bandle city from drinking with the rabble rouser, so I guess you aren't the only victim of gragas's boose.

"Is Gragas or Talon even allowed in Bandle City anymore? Although... I should probably talk to Caitlyn and make sure I'm clean"

Sam and Alice, who of course were caught wandering the halls again, walk past Taric's room.

"Hey, here's a healer," Sam commented, "Let's go visit him."

"Taric?" Alice asked, "Okay...I see no problem with that."

The two walk up to Taric's door (of which is assumed made of some form of crystals) and knock gently.
