At that time Jennogoth walked in. "Oh great, I come to see my little Annabeth and she's busy fighting this man-boy." He places Jayce in a bubble. "Now Annabeth, what has been going on ever since I left?"

Alice dodged out of Jayce's strike and Annie's flame, surrounding herself in a purple shield similar to Annie's Molten Shield.

"Man does this guy ever give up?"

"Who're you?" The little human girl asks Jennogoth. "And my name is Annabelle, thanks! But I prefer Annie."

Jennogoth chuckled. "Well then, 'Annie' didn't you receive my letter, or was that little scoundrel being lazy again?"

"I don't know you. Maybe you're talking about that Despir'Thoth person. But she left a while ago."

Jayce exploded, reaveling that it was only a machine that was attacking Annie.

The explosion broke Alice's shield, causing a small stray shard of metal to graze against her bare leg, leaving behind a scratch mark.

"Well isn't that nice..." Alice sarcastically remarked, looking for something to cover it."

"I bet it was Viktor trying to make Jayce look back, whatever." Annie said, sitting down and sighing. She holds up her cards, all burnt. "Well that sucks."

Alice looked back at the burnt cards, trying to ignore the gash in her leg.

"Oh. Well lucky for you I learned a little trick a couple years ago."

Alice holds out a purple orb, which shapes to form a standard deck of cards.

"I can't change their color or anything, but it should be better than nothing. Hope you like purple."

Annie takes the card and puts on her slightly singed cap, she begins to shuffle them like a pro as if it were nothing, cutting the deck about 4 times before dealing herself and Alice some cards.

"Blackjack 21, you know how to play?"
