oaks in real life has no gender so unless specify by Riot by itself, oak in LoL doesn't have any gender either. And Riot has yet to specify Maokai's gender. The generic "he" in Maokai's background doesn't count since... well... it's generic.

you believing that the "he" in Maokai's background to be gender specific instead of generic (which is the more logical choice) since you assume Maokai to be a male due to the lack of feminine quality. This supports Riot's action of giving females large boobs... because clearly players like you assume everything is male if you can't find obvious feminine quality
