This is true. High end non-legendary skins like Arcade Sona and Mecha Kha'zix come to mind, actually. Thanks for pointing that out.

since you want to make a witchcraft lux, you could do a lot of things that resemble Veigar and Ryze with her. try making additional use of runes and things that resemble "darkness". i would do something with her lucent singularity that makes a pentagram on the floor with a purple flame in the middle before having the flame explode and consuming everything within.
