I make sure to say it early and I make sure to add lol if they should really be embarassed about their bad play. My smurf is 2900+ EU-W.

after I lose a game after a good effort, I say gg to congradualte the enemy team on their win and to be a good sport about my less then amazing skill that game.

I also tell my team that they were a fun group to play with and I hope to see them in the future

I've never seen a winning team wait until the losing team says gg first. I've never seen a winning team not say GG when they are at the Nexus turrets. I've never seen anyone say it was gg when it actually was a gg. I've seen more people say bg than gg.
