I do think you're looking for accessible (easy to approach) rather than sophisticated (complex or intricate), particularly considering that LoL's lack of extreme complexity in contrast with DotA is one of your arguments. It fits a lot better with the rest of your paper as well. All of what Riot does with community interaction, the Tribunal, Honor, etc. is to foster a more inclusive environment than the traditional MOBA.

See, I call DotA's complexity and high burden of knowledge as archaic. Complex =/= Sophisticated IMO Sophisticated has a different nuance to it.


Also-- LOL at these downvotes. I'm not looking for love here mates, I'm looking for ideas. Those downvotes are as meaningful to me as the nothingness of the post you didn't make explaining it.

I think I see what you mean. I'm just quoting dictionary entries on the words, though. You may have to explain exactly what you mean by "sophisticated" in the context of your paper if it differs from the definition, and that might be a little convoluted.
