My opinion of this map:

I like how the focus is taken from controlling mostly top jungle and I do like the turtling thing of dragging minions into fountain also being taken out. Only a couple things i personally do not like:

1) The jungle does seem a bit smashed together. I have no problem with this except what about ranked? If I were to jungle in a ranked match on new twisted treeline it would be extremely easy to find where I would be.

2) That being said about being found in jungle, with wards now unable to be purchased champions like teemo or nidalee will become extremely valuable in a comp. Teemo specifically is who I think of. His shroom spam will provide the vision that is now lacking without wards.

3) And lastly, I personally do not enjoy the "dominion-like" points to capture. If I did want to play dominion then I would play dominion lol

TL;DR I like some of the ideas on the map but mostly it just seems like the walls were exchanged for bushes, the jungle was smashed together, map control heroes will dominate, and jungle now seems completely un-viable

New map sucks as a replacement for the old TT. As a new map unto itself. It's fine.

Problem with that though is it messes with the team composition. You're forced into having one of those characters into your team because if you don't you're at a severe disadvantage.

So at worst you can have two people that play as who they like and one guy forced into a specific role. Even then teemo can lay down a lot more mushrooms than cait can put down traps so that's already an imbalance.


But really as of now you can just pick tanky DPS guys on your team and bully the other team out of the alter/jungle.

So now instead of more viable teams you get smaller teams because if you don't pick specific characters you're at a disadvantage the whole game.

I agree. Bad enough I could barely do carries in 3v3 (depending on other team's comp) but now its almost impossible
