I also think this retaliation thing is a little obnoxious, half the times i play with these toxic players if you retaliate they report you for verbal abuse, and because were supposed to IGNORE all of the other players ignorant/troll chat, we look like the bad guy. But if we DON'T communicate back, because they're still annoyed and trolls, they just report for failure to communicate. If someone is mad in this game, there is absolutely no way to stop their anger, and whatever you do is wrong. Its getting out of hand honestly.

a) No. Just no. Jerks ruin games. League of Legends is for everyone whether they are 500 Elo or 2500 Elo. It's not a game for jerks.
Then why is there a report function for "unskilled player" in the report section? I'm just curious since I completely agree with you here in that jerks ruin this game if its ruined, not bad players, but there is a report function for if a player is unskilled. From what I've heard, unskilled players aren't banned, they're just matched with lower skilled players (I guess from ELO).

I think there should be someone who reviews Tribunal members as well. For example, if some Tribunal member thinks its hilarious to just punish everyone or pardon everyone, they need to be reviewed. This could be happening already, but if it is not I really think it should. I could just see too many undeserved bans as a result of no checks on Tribunal members who just think its funny to punish others.

How does the Honor system factor into reports and permabans? For example, if I have accumulated justly a far number of points in being friendly, helpful, and good at teamwork, will that have any way of helping prevent unjust reporting? I know there are trolls out there who report/punish without valid reasoning and do so because they like the rush of it, so does the honor system help that in any way?

Worst system in the world. You should delete it.

I look at the Tribunal as a lazy way for Riot to deal with people in the game that does more harm than good. People can disagree... but you're wrong.

Secondly, please slow down on the post spamming.
Exactly what data are you basing your knowledge on, because when a player died and when they got a kill and even where are not enough to form an absolute proof of intent. No offense but you really don't have a position to argue from pure ethos if you want your point to be valid. Saying you know all relevant facts based on stats is very shaky logic to anyone who has a cursory education in statistical analysis. A lot of conclusions some contradictory can be taken all from the same set of data and you know that probably better than most.

Also arguing as a devils advocate against you with no offense intended, you also have a great deal of potential for bias, more so than others who feel victimized by the system and want to see it changed. No doubt you want to believe the system is working well even if you have strong ethical standards and a habit of personal reflection. This leads me to call out your assessment of a replay system as not being a significant improvement on review. In fact the implementation of a replay system would remove the biases that can and often do come with the reading of data for a statistical analysis. Just Saiyan.

Just saying as a paying customer I find it offensive that Riot puts my fate into the hands of the community, particularly the LOL community that is primarily made up of nerd raging virgin trolls. I love this game, am I pro? Sometimes I have my moments, sometimes I play bad games because I can't sit on my ass all day and just play LOL. People are starting to think that the tribunal is their personal hit squad to nerd rage on people with. "OMG he's 0/3/0 report our Jax please". Feeding isn't against the rules, feeding ON PURPOSE is. At the very least there needs to be a report option for inciting false report. I should be able to report the guy that's screaming for my head on a plate because I'm 0/3/0, trying to convince the enemy team to get me banned etc. The point is when you leave the fate of accounts in the hands of a community made of trolls you will get troll results. I had a guy on my friend list literally tell me "I don't even read the cases, I always hit punish no matter what". I would like to see this system changed as a customer. People say"just because you buy stuff and pay for skins doesn't give you any more rights than anyone else". To the people that say that to me I respond by saying I can pretty much guarantee they havent paid a dime to play this game, if they had they might feel like I do. Riot has money to throw tournaments in Germany, how about hiring some staff to run the tribunal so my fate isnt in the hands of teenage trolls. Thank you.

"1 game is all he needs to be suspended"
In my last game on a permanently banned account, this one, I got banned for mocking the other team in a competitive way, trying to urge better fighting from them. The other one was a game where I tried to start a trundle support meta, which honestly didn't work out so well.
I have appealed it tons of times but no one gives a **** because no one actually checks for human error anymore. Gotta love Riot. I spent a bunch of money on that account the day previous and I asked for a refund, they took it all and said, "Haha! Sucks for you!" and afterwords refunded 910 RP to my account. They're jerks. Hopefully someone from Riot reads this.

Oh! I should also mention I was being an amazingly good player to those who were polite in turn, I also did my part in the player community and pardon'd cases that were innocent, and punished the ones that were so. I didn't go with majority often, however I had a huge judge rating, I think it was like 2400+ or so. I also commended players and reported others, I didn't just report for unskilled or get mad and ragequit like I did 3 years ago either. I matured and my account got banned and no longer looked into in terms of appeal. As soon as I ask for it to be reviewd, I get a response near instantly with, "IT'S JUSTIFIED LOOK AT THIS! ITS A CLOSED CASE NOW! THANKS!"
I've even reported players out of game with the support functions and commended them when my LoL client crashed. I sent several players commendations through support and I tried to help the community. It's just really ****ed up that Riot refuses to look into cases once they get permanently banned. The last case which got me PB'd was a crappy set of stuff. It was majority punish because of the two games where I "trolled" according to some people. I just don't understand why if SoE can go through and double/triple check for false-positives and human error, why can't Riot.
SoE is a MUCH bigger company, with TONS more people to get through.

No one reads the Tribunal, just like Riot won't read this thread. I spent a good 10 minutes reviewing Tribunal cases for the first time before I realized that 99% of them were just "Verbal Abuse" cases or something to do with inter-player scuffles. Nothing to do with what's actually important: THE FREAKING GAME.

I came to this forum in the hopes of making a thread about possibly changing the rules to tweak the Tribunal to be a little more fair... but...

There's no reason, and I can see that. I might honestly just stop playing LoL. Myself and my friends. Why play a game that can take 2 years worth of progress and just shatter it in minutes? All because people wanted to reap the rewards of the Tribunal.

That might mean nothing to Riot, but hopefully it means something to the players. They won't change anything if we don't change first.
