League not starting, should I reinstall

After I downloaded the new patch when i hit the "PLAY" button league just goes away, nothing happens. So I click to open league again and a window pops up saying " another instance of league is running, terminate it?" I hit yes, then click the "PLAY" button again, and the whole process starts over, help?
