The problem is not that people don't know how to play the game, the problem is that people these days seem to think that it's fine to be an ass just because you have anonymity on the internet. Hell they think it's fine to be jackasses in general, and they do it on a regular basis in real life too. Riot already has their work cut out for them making a balanced game that will last a long time, they don't have time and resources to spend on teaching immature people how to act like an adult and treat others with respect. It's not their job to do it either, and it's a god damn shame that society as a whole has let things get the way they are. Back in the day if you were an ass you got the **** kicked out of you until you learned better, and you were taught to treat people with respect in general. Wtb corporal punishment in schools >>
I'm not saying that it's a bad idea for Riot to put out "how to" basic videos, I'm saying that them doing so has nothing to do with community toxicity and that it falls to us as a community to help deal with toxic players. That's what the tribunal is for, and more people need to make use of it. Those that can't learn their lesson get banned, plain and simple. It falls to us to expedite this process.
