Soft ELO Reset - What does it mean specifically?

Thread title says it all. What exactly is changing on a Soft ELO Reset.

Something like: current elo + 1.2k / 2

It's designed to force you to earn your elo back, while giving the people with below 1200 elo a chance to catch back up.

It also resets your elo gain, so the first 20 wins after the elo reset will give you +20 or more elo per win so S3 you could go from bronze to gold fast If you win your first few games.

It' will let gold players stuck in bronze get up there :P
