I passed along the story of a particular family today from Long Beach Island, NJ who've literally lost just about everything in Sandy. The story is just so heart wrenchingly sad that I'm doing what I can to spread the word and get help for them. It doesn't take much, you don't have to be rich or give money, if you have access to old clothes or want to make a care package, every little bit helps. Here's their story:

Clothing: Lucille 16/18 anything, Boys 30/30 pants, medium or large shirts. Bob XL pants 2x tops.

A site has been set up for monetary donations, but I don't know if I'm allowed to post something like that, if a Mod can let me know if I can, I'd appreciate it. If you're interested in mailing anything to them, contact me in game, Summoner name the same as my Forum name. I have their address, the donation link, and will be finding out what else they specifically might need later today.

Again, mods, sorry if this wrong, I don't mean any harm, not trying to solicit anyone, just trying to help a family in need. I don't know them, but it just broke my heart to read about them.

P.S. Perhaps, if this post is ok, if anyone else wants to share their own volunteer or donation stories or give information for other families in need we can start our own League of Legends volunteer/donation center of operations here. Show people what our community is really made of, that we're more than just ragers and trolls.

I have already made several donations but I will check this out and send some of my old clothes and stuff.

I do have to say though, there are lots of families like this that need help.
