It's not an opinion, it's a simple observation. Words like "dude", "bro", etc., are inserted slang that we use when speaking to one another, which eventually become common in our speech as a result of habit. When typing, these words aren't habitually inserted in what we're saying, a much more conscious effort goes into each word (the same applies to swearing, and other types of words). Someone who types a word like "dude" is going out of his way to insert a word that he thinks will make him more like other people, because he is someone that does not fit in, in real life (socially awkward)
