Anyone else besides me think that the recent nerf on akali was kind of unnecessary? I understand a fed akali can just wreck teams but shes rather easy to counter by zoning/vision wards and the recent changes make it even harder to match her fellow assassins like kat, fizz, panth etc...The worst part is the recent cd change on her ult makes it harder for her to escape ganks and catch up after having a passive pre-6. Plus there are numerous counter picks to her as well, a few being garen, kass, talon, ahri, elise, lee sin, lux, mordekaiser etc...

First off you dont know akali... so idk why you made a post about her.. they nerfed her early game but buffed her late game and snowballing potential so they made her stronger if you can last more than 20 minutes in a game. Second akali HARD COUNTERS BOTH lux and ahri and elise isnt much of a problem post 6. all in all they made her a stronger pick if you can get past the laning phase

I think you don't know Akali at all. As an Akali main, i think she's now balanced.

Why would anyone say "you can just counter her with visy wards"? If you have to pay 125 gold every 3 minutes (or more if you need a wider radius of vision) in order to counter a champion then by definition you're going to get less feed. Countering a champ should be a matter of:

Counter-picking
Counter-building
Counter-playing

Not buying consumable items.

akali was already easy to shut down early game and the range on lux's poke make it too easy to zone akali and shut her down early plus a decent ahri that knows how to combo should be able to shut down an akali and stop her from being a threat. Also, how can you expect her to be able to snowball late game when she's already on the ropes trying to cs because most mid lane chars can zone her preventing her from getting the items she needs to make the new ratio worthwhile. The extra Plus, many games dont last long enough for akali to get her full build.

maybe akali needed a nerf but this gone too far , this nerf made her almost useless

they nerfed so hard her early game so now cant reach the late game
