I am inquiring about how do we know if we have successfully acquired one of the 3 summoner's icons regarding this recent Freljord event?

I have won far over ten games with one of the icons (without switching my icon) via ARAM and Summoners Rift games (mainly ARAM, and of course I mean the new ARAM mode, not custom games). I assumed that the little circle... that I'd call clockesque (clock like), would go away once we ascertained the one we went for... or that some message would display congratulations you have joined (insert faction name here), with maybe some message stating that you now have said icon "permanently" (unless you win 10 games while holding on of the other two icons). The reason I inquire into this is I do not want anyone to not ascertain one of the three icons (if they want one of them) because they think (know) they have met the criteria but the game does not think so...

In other words, is there any sure-fire way of knowing that oneself has ascertained 1 of the 3 icons, and if not will there be?

The icons, like most seasonal icons, will be rolled out in waves to qualifying users. This does not necessarily mean that you will unlock them as soon as you complete 10 games, it may take a few days in some cases.

There's no current way of tracking what your progress is with these icons, currently you need to keep a mental note of how many games you've played.

Are we able to unlock the summoner icon through 10 wins in the new ARAM (Howling Abyss)?

Such is as I suspected... hopefully as they progress with these seasonal summoners icons (for ones that follow the schema similar to this Freljord event) will provide some readout stating whether or not you have earned it. Here's hoping, and thanks for confirming my suspicions and considering the views, helping those other people.

I'm wondering if, after we play and win 10 with the icon, can we go back to our old favorite icon because we dislike the clock, or will that rest the streak?

Do we need to have a 10 win streak or it doesnt matter if we have defeats in between?

Once you have 10 wins, open the icon menu. There should be the icon of your choice without a circle with a line running through it further down the menu.

I had my 10 wins the first day and have no other icon than the one with the circle and a line through it.
