Beyond what Amber said, there is also the social and cultural purpose of art. Both serve similar purposes. Whether you like it or not art, literature, theatre, etc., etc. have helped people develop an identity. This is evidenced in looking at how important such things were in the past and they still are. Just in slightly different ways depending on the people.
Whether you acknowledge it or not different people have different interests and divise joy and moral in different ways. The world is vast and whether you personally get anything from art doesn't matter. Plenty of other people do. Different ways of art and creativity? Look to the expressions in memes. Some are nonsensical and some have a commentary purpose. Are they crude? Certsinly but the idea of art is still there. Pinterest is a popular site with loads of creative energy and work put into various objects. Again, whether you care for it doesn't matter, plenty of people do. And these are just two of many examples. Theres's still art in the literature, theatre, music, and other senses.
Art provides catharsis, rehabilotation and lessons for many people in their everyday lives as well. People still go to plenty of shows and read.
