You don't own League of Legends. You accept a license agreement and Riot lets you play their game. You pay for access to champions and skins, but not ownership in the game.
While I'm not against the idea of adding TT to the list of custom games, there's probably a legitimate reason as to why they are not doing so. If I was in their position, I'd want you to play the new map and identify everything that you hate about it. I'd want you to give constructive and thoughtful feedback on how it can be a better map. If I make the old TT available to you in Custom Games, well, that's all you're going to do. You won't give the new map the attention it deserves, or the opportunity for it to represent something you will enjoy playing... because change is terrifying.

Main reason I stopped playing it was because it was unfun. That is the bottom line. If they brought back the Real TT, of course I would be playing it. Its the map I enjoyed.
And you bring up another typical bull**** point. If these people hated change they would be playing SR from the moment this game was introduced to them. If they hated change SR would have 0 fan base. I wanted change, which is why when I was introduced to LoL so many years ago I liked the champions enough but the "similar" ol 5v5 map was too boring for me to play on any longer. So I "changed" to Twisted Treeline and enjoyed that it was basically the same thing as summoners rift yet more my style. Smaller battles, turtling wasn't bad to me but people seemed to dislike it, and the size of the map made it more interesting for me.
This new map did change TT completley, it wasn't a change I wanted. If they simply updated the graphics, put that wall between the nexus and the summoners platform, and made the new boss but kept the old jungle or at least improved the old jungle (which they didn't) I would of been happy and would not have uninstalled. This new map is far against what I wished. They took what the TT people were complaining about and went far overboard.
Good for the people who enjoy this map, it is not fun to a lot of other people who Riot Alienated in the process of bringing this new map. Also it is a slap in the face. True we do not own any portion of this game unlike the box sets. But many of us did give money to Riot because we supported our map. Now that they got rid of the only reason many of us old TTers enjoyed the map, of course we feel cheated. Yeah its a game, so what. Yeah we shouldn't of spent money on Riot, so what. In the end a lot of us want our old map back and then maybe some or most would be on both maps. That is more than most of the old TTers not being on the new map at all.
Quite a few of my friends who only played 3v3 switched over to 5v5s and where they use to spend hours a day playing 3v3 matches, now they will play maybe one or two 5v5 games then quit LoL for the day.
I don't care if Riot keeps the new Shadow Isles or not. I'm not wasting my time on something I find uninteresting/fun. Hell I won't even suggest this game to my friends anymore who don't play LoL like I use to. Why should I suggest a game to them that holds little interest to me anymore? The only interest I have left is browsing the TT forum in hopes they bring the old map back. When they do I will reinstall and maybe even buy some more skins to support them over time.
