This is about all the (legitimate?) QQ about Swain torment ninja rework.

Here is how I see the opinion from both parts (Staff vs Community):

Staff:
"We dumbed down one of our new champion key ability mechanics to make it understandable to
what we think are our average customers and to further enlarge the age-broad of our product.
Because we know that old costumers will still pay for new contents and in the same time it make the game more appealing to casuals.
And to respond to all the QQ about Torment, it actually deal the same damage overall so there is no big deal fussing about it."


Comunity:
"We were alll excited (as usual) about the new champion release and feel like we were tricked into buying something else.
We heard the new champion had some really interesting abilities (and/or due to nostalgia with one in particular) and it was scrapped at the last second to instead give us something more bland.
Yes we know that it deal the same damage but what was attraying was the utility in it.
Also can we remind you that the cost of it (6300 IP/ 975 RP) made us think that it was a high skill high reward champion
(even thought your late compagny policy gave hints that cost reprensented by skill factor is not mandatory).
And last but not least you can't give us for reason that we are not intelligible enough in a game that propone strategy and teamplay;
people playing the game are actually prepared to have to learn and/or in the worst case have teamates to help them."


TL,DR (kind of) metaphore:

Typical customer looking at the new candy ad, and thinking:
"Woah! Tropical flavored hard candy, I want some !".
You go to the store and buy it. When you have it in mouth you feel something weird because they are infact some gummi type of candies.
You go back to the store and tell the seller about this.
All he's saying is:
"We had to change that because the new people we're trying to sell dont have healthy teeth, so we had to soften it a bit.
But do not worry ! It taste and smell the same so it's no big deal."
When you know that it doesn't Feel the same.

The only problem is the change they did is so incredibly small it makes no impact on his play-style. He still uses the same skill order and plays the same way.

tl;dr

I don't care about your opinion, particularly if it is long and in the form of multiple paragraphs.

Yep it's what everyone think "Same playstyle and skill order" but it's the reactions of your ennemies and his utility that changed.
Will you still fight if your life suddently drop under half? No and you'll be alive at the moment you left
Will you still fight if you saw your life graduately drained but you still are above half health?
Yes and it will cost you your life because by the time you decide to run you will allready be dead.

It's basically the same way as playing against anivia you don't want to just chill there when she "just" slowed you with one of her spell but you will (if you're not experienced enough to play against her) because at the moment she did so you don't see any radical impact on your life.
Seconds after BAM! And you're still trying to figure what killed you.
