Is he just a bad mid champion in general or no one plays him right?

every time i'm against TF, i either destroy him in lane, and/or destroy him late game.

TF is good everyone you play with is bad

He's only godlike at platinum and higher

TF is bad in solo queue if you can't depend on your team.

OP in competitive play when people communicate.

Decent if you have a team you can trust.

if you can gank well with your ultimate, know how to bluecard-wildcards farm/harrass, and push your lane so you can roam you will do fine

i would suggest watching some of the asian team's streams that are usually on around this time.
TF is heavily used in their meta, and is used substantially different to NA.
