i could go to others, if i had friends go with me, but im working and stuff so i cant like go to everyone, besides my bulk for this cosplay is immense, i barely even know how im going to bring it to toronto >.>

Some go for the interesting panels.. Some go for the limited edition stuff in the exhibition halls.. Some go to sell art... Some go to buy art..

From my understanding, it's like a UFC fan experience event the day before the event except with no dressing up?

Do you get paid for dressing up at these things?

Depends.
Some websites sponsor cosplayers by giving them free things, if they advertise their products on their websites or facebook pages... Or money. Sometimes they just give you money.

Otherwise, no. It's just fun to dress up. : P

Seems like you're missing out on a opportunity to get paid and go to these things for free.

Compared to the other people how good are your dress up skills and how attractive are you to the other girls who dress up?
