Delmegar
The Lord of Krizar City had recieved word of Barbas new betrayal, and along with the report also came news of his change. The Dark Knight was becoming dangerous to not only himself, but to all of those around him. And that included the people of Krizar City. His people. And that, would not do.
As he armed himself with his rune blade, and for once choosing to equip armor which was a rare sight. A third report came in, informing him of a massive undead dragon, tormenting the town nearest him. Barbas would now have to wait. It seemed that there was too much going on for Delmegar and his troops to handle. They would have to evacuate the city immediately... and his next decision, was the worst....
"Guard!" Someone immediately rushed in, bowing. "My lord, what can I do?" As Delmegar fastened the straps to his second gauntlet, he looked to the man. "I want you to order my wife and child out of the city. Agares is to escort them, and never let them out of his sight." The soldier nodded and turned. But Delmegar was not yet finished. "Wait. Tell Agares, he is to take command of the Dark Phoenix. He is to lead the people of Krizar City to Rihem, and rebuild their. He is your new lord until my wife can decide what is best."
"My lord?" Delmegar said nothing else. This was his last act as lord of Krizar City.
Not far from the Port of Krizar City - Logan
"Fascinating, mind blowing, superb indeed, I say!" Logan was shouting as the green light cascaded the city. The night was cloudless, the weather fair and moon full. The green light was sompletely magical in nature, and as he thought this - troops were loading ships with supplies and equipment for the Ionian Expedition. The tide was beginning to rise as well. He had not failed to note Ratharius in the distance, or the cries of his people. But there was only so much Logan could do while organizing this...
Barbas
The combined efforts of Hilde and the creature, formerly, Calude, sent Barbas reeling. He skid backwards but never changed his stance. The runes on his left arm grew brighter and brighter as the night, and his skin continued to darken more. His skin bubble and began to fold over itself, breaking slowly and revealing a hard, spiky surface beneath. It shined like metal.
"This war is already lost for you. It's just a matter of time now before the first Gate opens!" Barbas said in an animialistic voice he did not have before. As he did his eyes literally burst into red flames and his bones started to shift and contort to something larger. When he opened his mouth to scream, his jaw became elongated, revealing great fangs. "Tiamat is coming! This city is lost, this world is lost! You fight... for a losing cause!"
Focused on Barbas, many would fail to notice that the green light covering them would now be blood red. And so to was the moon. The land around them was beginning to swallow itself whole.
In the distance, near the port, horns were blowing, signalling for the people of Krizar to flee by any means necessary. Soldiers with Hilde and the others were becoming frantic, "We need to leave here. Our orders are to evacuate now, everyone! That includes you lot." The soldiers said, but did not wait before fleeing. Whether it was because of Barbas, or the signal, one could speculate.
