The people dont know that ryze is still op champ, he is faster, tanky, vamp spell, low cool down, cooldown recharge, about at all he fed to other ap 3 or 4 kill and still can kick the enemy ap champion.

Ryze is an odd choice. Given that a lot of mid laners are high mobility mages you'd have to be really good with his snare and follow through with a huge burst to make it worth the damage you'll probably take just getting within range.

Making a hard to play champion work even though it's slightly out of meta is very commendable.
