Thing is, Despir'Thoth didn't just happen. She came about through months of RP. Your multitude of super powered Void based characters just came up right here, so it's kinda... stupid and out of nowhere comes to mind)

Actually, I wouldn't mind the concept of the Godchildren if at some point their almost indefinite power was hampered intensely, and they are a shell of their former selves wanting to get it all back. 'Damon' continues to channel the tower, as he listens to his 'master' press questions. The hooded man doesn't think of much, rather his hopes and dreams were long ago tossed away. The only hope he really has is a final end to his misery, and from what was described, if things go smoothly he could be free to finally rest. That 'Thing' on the other end of the rune was not for any world, but is absolutely instrumental for anything to be. Even the Voidborn here would be in shock on what 'It' is, but due to his circumstances right now he can't vouch a voice at all..

"Now then, a tower struggle. These enhanced Voidborn fighting their way to the top of this creation of yours, alongside and against humans who desire the same? Where do I come in? Just as an observer, as you?" She tapped her chin, or rather, rubbed the bush of writhing 'finger' tendrils against her chin.

"It's been a while since I did behind the scenes all by itself. I usually play a bit more up front, so they dont guess Im the orchestrator."

"Like me, yes you would be an observer. There are magics that will allow us to watch remotely. Besides, if there was any worry, it wouldn't be for those participating...but in case any of the participators have friends that might try to intervene. I don't expect they will interfere in time, those within won't be detectable. But, as a precaution should any interloper do try to come to Icathia to stop this little fun..."

A dark cackling of laughter was heard behind the rune-

"I don't suppose you could give them some amount of hospitality? This tower is sort of a one-time deal, I would rather the memory be unblemished by any outside interference..."

The rumbling of the ritual got a bit louder as far above all of them some old debris falls from the sky into an open field, where no right-minded Voidborn or being alike is.

"That should be fine, the tower itself is far sturdier..."

"Mmm. I will treat them to the hospitality I give all our guests. Such hospitality that they wont be able to go help their friends."

She cackled darkly, dust shaking off buildings nearby as she did. "Good. Good... I can see it now." She gazed to the sky, the Tower coming into more clear a view from beyond the portal she had opened for it.

Slowly wakes up from the corners of one of the Icathian buildings.
"Wha....dah heck happened to me.."
Slowly gets up to find he's surrounded by little voidlings.

"...Hm? On that subject..."

A small cackling of laughter, the voices mixed of children and otherworldly kind, comes from the rune still-

"Someone seems to have terrible luck today..."

The rune might be refering to an unknown individual who suddenly appeared within Despir'Thoth's domain, easily sensed by her and her kin.

"Yes. He's been here before."

She lumbers over to Vice. "Ah, did your talk with Omen cause you to pass out? Cosmic comprehension being pumped into your head will do that."

She grins, picking up the yordle in one of her writhing tendril hand nests. She'd make sure he was comfortable, then carry him over to Damon and the rune. "So, Vice, shall we bring you up to speed? I'm sure You of all people would be interested." She smiles, setting the yordle down between them.

"Ho...?"

The voice at the other end of the rune is most intrigued, as it seems to gauge this interesting Yordle whom even a Voidlord deems acceptable in this land. All Vice sees is a glowing rune on the ground near them, and a robed man who is more than determined to summon something from the sky...
