Surviving Records of Important Historic Events:

The fall of the League:
Few records have never been recovered. The very few reports that remain speak of crows, seals being broken and prisoners being released.
It seems that even the leagues power could not contain whatever had happened and fell while trying to defend against it.

Chaos ensues

Without the League to contain them, summoned creatures were now able to escape and roam free causing death and destruction. Some creatures roamed, fought and claimed certain territories as their own. One such place was the howling marshes many creatures seem to be drawn to this place.

Demacia VS Noxus erupts into all out war.

Without the league to intervene tensions flaired between Noxus and Demacia, eventually war broke out. Noxus called on their old allies of Zaun to aid them, Demacia was decemated in many of the battles. Believing that Zaun had to be stopped Piltover joined the war siding with Demacia in order to stop their corrupt sciences. Both the Feljord and Bandle city claimed to be neutral in the war. The Rakkor, relishing battle also involved themselves, destroying whole battlelions with but a handful of warriors.

Shyvanna VS The brothers.
In one of the major campeigns Noxus led against Demacia by Darius and his brother Draven, they came against the forces led by Shyvanna herself. Darius engaged her in the middle of battle, the fight, long and bloody lasted several hours. Draven not wanting his brother to outshine him by slaying the dragon also joined the fight. Two brothers against the dragon woman could not bring her down. Though severly wounded she managed hold off the Noxus forces until Demacian reinforcments arrived. Darius ordered the retreat, Draven however couldn't bring himself to leave the fight and attempted to stand against the wounded Shyvanna. Reports state he was ripped in half by Shyvanna after his axes mysteriously disappeared in the middle of the battle. A few eye witnesses reported seeing orange smoke appearing during the battle.

The March.
After many bloody battles, reports of strange energy fluxes were coming in from the south. Scouts were sent by both forces believing that their enemies were creating some kind of weapon. Sightings of Kog'maw and Cho'gath increased as they made their way south towards Icathia. Any attempt to stop them was rewarded with death and being devoured. Kha'Zix however was never seen during this time. As they came to the mountains of the great barrier Kassaden appeared with a large number of followers to stop them. After what could only be named as a slaughter Kog'maw reported killed by Kassaden. The death of the void creature did not seem to register with Cho'gath who now at full size was unstoppable and simply swatted Kassaden aside to continuing his march to Icathia.

The Void Strikes.
Hardly a week after Kog'maw was killed great rifts exploded throughout Icathia, at first only voidlings spewed forth in great swarms. Days after, the monstrous roars that came from the rifts could be heard as from Bandlecity. having also scouted the area Bandlecity prepared to defend itself.

Vodoo lands:
Another week passed, and the invasion began. The first waves aim it seemed was the vodoo lands, though as they swarmed upon Annies homeland something forced them to change course. Massive pillars of fire erupted could be seen exploding into the sky incinerating anything that took a single step into the lands. The void swarm, slowed but not stopped, continued their march forcing the Grey Order to retreat from their home and through the Shurima Desert and back to where they had originally fled from. Noxus saw the advantages of having The Grey Warlock, The Shadow Witch and their daughter Annie and their powerful magics and offered them refuge within the city. Accepting they began to prepare the defenses against the void invasion.

Seige of Bandle City:
Upon finally making their way through the vodoo lands, hordes of the void swarm were seen making their way through the Sable Mountains towards Bandle City. Veigar laughed in the face of this swarm believing he was far more powerful than the void waddled off to fight against it alone. He was not seen for some time. As the void drew closer the full might of Bandle City and the yordles was unleashed, commando squads led by Tristana fought the void causing massive casualties and taking very little of their own. Teemo often went by himself slaughtering the void creatures, his kill count often nearing the hundreds. Corki and his squadrons fought the void in the sky in massive dogfights. Though the yordle fought valiantly against the void, eventually the swarm reached the walls of the city. The defense, led by Poppy, was crushed under wave after wave of the void, yet they still held fast in hopes that the other city states would send aid. Help never arrived. By the fourth night the walls of Bandle City were but dust beneath the void. When hope was lost a fleet of ships arrived on the coast led by none other than Gangplank. Having no prior relations with Bandle City the aid was unexpected, the surviving yordles accepted the aid without hesitation and fled their city as it was devoured by the void. Teemo has not been seen since the seige.

Defenses and Desperation:
With the utter destruction of the Bandle City and the Grey Order forced to retreat, the states took heed and prepared. Both Piltover and Zaun withdrew their support for the Noxus and Demacian war. Seeing this as a sign Demacia and Noxus signed a truce to fight against the Void together. Piltover and Zaun also joined the effort and prepared the defenses. The combined forces of the states fought against the void winning as much as they lost. However, desperation grew in the cities, fear was like a plague among the masses.

Zaun,
Within Zaun many turned to the scientists wishing to become stronger incase the need to defend their homes arose, one scientist stood out above the rest. Viktor. The people of Zaun turned to him in huge amounts, his Glorious Evolution seen as the only way to survive the void invasion should the swarm arrive. Others went to people like Singed and Dr.Mundo. Soon over half of Zauns population was more machine than human. The rest were either enhanced by Singed's potions or Mundo's experiments.

Feljord:
-No reports exist-

A cloud of darkness decends.
Little is known about this time in the war. Reports of a huge cloud of darkness sweeping down from the north covering everything. No one knows what happened to the Feljord, the champions leving there there may all be dead. The cloud moved closer, Piltover had no way of defending against it. Champions such as Jayce and Caitlyn are suspected to be dead. As the cloud crawled south it seemed to avoid Zaun and the Howling Marsh.
Reports from Zaun ceased to continue arriving.

As the darkness drew closer, Demacia and Noxus withdrew their forces retreating back to their capitols. The surviving Piltover and Zaunite forces, now with nowhere to go retreated back to the capitols aswell. The darkness seemed to give the void swarm pause. They no longer advanced but simply sat back, seeming almost afraid to continue forward. Two figures emerged from the darkness, a being in a massive suit of armor weilding a great mace, each step it took the life from the plants and any curious animals simply wilted way. A creature made of blue flame moved out from the darkness beside the armored humanoid weilding a great sythe. The two figures advanced towards Demacia, tendrils of darkness from the cloud followed their every step.

Demacia falls.
The two figures advanced upon demacia, the clouds of darkness follwoing them swallowing everything in it's path. There was no battle, as the two ex-champions moved towards demacia the cloud overtook them and enveloped the city. Lux punctures the darkness with her magic forcing it back for a few moments, citizens took the opportunity to flee the city. Garen, Lux, Shyvanna and Jarvan all abandoned the city and seeked refuge in Noxus.

Shadows and corruption collide.
Noxus, the last known remaining city now faced by both the void swarm and the cloud of darkness sent a request to Ionia for refuge. On the outskirts of Noxus, the void creatures surged once more, Noxus prepared to make their stand only to be confused as the creatures simply surged past the city state and headed into the cloud of darkness. Roars of battle soon erupted from the darkness as whatever lay within fought the void, this battle lasted days before the shadows slowly began retreating revealing the battlefield. Broken weapons lay scattered about the corpses of the void creatures, other creatures not of the void lay dead. Grotesque mutated undead creatures roared at the void as the cloud retreated. All but one figure soon turned withdrew back into the darkness.
The ex-champion known as Karthas stood still staring at the void creatures as they circled back unsure about the new presence. Then an unholy sound filled the air, Karthas began to sing. It was not a song that any mortal could hear and understand. To mortal ears it simply caused immense pain. At once all of those in Noxus that heard the song fell to the ground clutching their ears in agony as the song pierced their thoughts. The void creatures began screaming in response as if to drown out the song. Karthas' eyes seemed to flair with an unholy fire, his song grew louder, the mortals who heard it howled in agony as their ears began to bleed.
The void creatures then turned to retreat only to be evaporated by great beams of energy from above. Karthas then simply turned and walked back into the darkness.

Noxus Prepares.
As the darkness retreated the seemingly endless swarm of void creatures began their advance once more. Noxus, still slightly crippled from the song, readied the defences. Jericho Swain and Jarvan stood side-by-side ready to fight against the void as brothers in arms. Garen and Katerina seemed to be avoiding each other for the most part, Cassiopia however seemed to follow Garen wherever he went. Tensions between Shyvanna and Darius flair up. Talon was assigned to watch Darius to make sure he did nothing to avenge his brother. Urgot had been seen watching Garen, the rage and hatred that kept him alive showing clearly in his eyes. Unable to contain himself Urgot attempts to kill Garen as he slept. Urgot is slain by Lux as she defends her brother.
Both Jarvan and Swain begin organising the last of the defenses. Demacian, Zaunite, Piltover and Noxian troops are now training together. The Grey Order keep to themselves.

The Final Stand.
Without warning a massive purple rift seething with the energy of the void rips open near the gates of Noxus. Malzahaa appears, the voice of the prophet echoes throughout Noxus saying all who submit to the void they will not be harmed he then simply turns his back and makes his way back to the void battlelines.
Within hours the void creatures surge forth once more to attack Noxus. Both Swain lifts the ban on rune magics. The Grey Order move silently to the walls. Noxian and Demacian troops all prepare to defend the city. The rune mages from both Noxus and Demacia begin chanting their spells.

Almost nothing is known about the middle of the battle other than the rune magics were used at great cost. It was rumored that Swain betrayed Jarvan and killed him in the middle of battle with the void. LeBlanc was seen fleeing that area of the battlefield only to be apparently struck down by a creature of the void.

The something strange happened to the creatures of the void they suddenly looked skywards, their eyes wide with what could only have been fear. The cloud of shadows that had been lingering on the northern outskirts retreated once more going back further.

Escape.
Taking the opportunity the remainder of the defense abandons Noxus. Unsure where to go they head west to the coast hopping that the Ionians would send aid soon. Noxus was lost but they hoped to escape the slaughter. Those that remained were of the Grey Order. It had been rumored that Ionia was untouched by the void or the darkness. The Ionians had infact sent aid, but seeing that Noxus was abandoned all they could do was take the survivors back to Ionia. Both the void and the darkness seemed to occupied to care that they had escaped.

Well... That was a pain in the ass to type.... Probably full of spelling mistakes and horrible grammer. Basicly, your characters are either survivors of the war or currently live on Ionia.

Ionia; Noxian Refuge Camp:

Darius, wounded by a creature from the void, lay in the darkened tent medical tent. Those fools from Ionia... He knew they wouldn't save his life. They refused to heal him... Claiming he was tainted by the void. What would they know? They, who sat by on this island while the whole mainland was slaughtered. Even the Demacians put their differences aside in order to fight against the void... The Ionians however... Cowards. This was their fault. If they had sent their forces sooner, the void would have been beaten back...

Ionia; Negotiation hall.

"He is to executed immediatly!" The voice of Garen thundered through the hall echoing off the large stone walls.
"There is no proof he is infected." Another much calmer voice countered, Talon had no love for Darius, but he was a fine fighter and in a time like this... It was needed to have stong people around.
"Have you heard what he says in his sleep?! He screams about how the father will arrive!" Garen roared back. His fist slamming onto the finely carved table frustrated, could they really not see the danger he posed?
"Delusions caused by the trauma of being crushed under the foot of YOUR pet dragon." Talon once again spoke up, a blade in his hand digging into the underside of the table.... The Demacian was getting on his nerves.
This time, a female voice rose from beside Garen, Shyvana growled at the Noxian, the fire in her eyes seeming to ignite.
"He attacked first you ignorant--"

She was then cut off by the sound of a cane hitting the wooden floor.
"Both of you. Quiet."
Swain stood staring at the group sitting at the table, his eyes seeming to look at everyone at once.
"What happens to those under my command is my decision. He will be kept under guard until I say."
He makes his way over to a chair and slowly seats himself, his eyes never leaving those at the long table.
"Can we begin on what really matters... We need to investigate the shadows."
Those from Demacia instantly tensed.

A call for champions:

Within a few days the notices were sent around the islands of Ionia.

Alright, I know, I know... It was a rushed job okay? I wanted it done and I wanted it done now.
So... Yeah, lack of descriptions and such for me to start this faster was a fair trade I say. Anyway!
If any of you hang out in the break room, you'll know the name Firion, yes it's the same guy. This'll be edited in a moment to have the name of those accepted into the RP.

Alexandria was positioned working as a guard of her small town in the eastern region of Ionia, her days mostly spent lounging around due to the low crime rates. The weather was nice, the scenery was beautiful and there was very little to bother her during her relaxation. She had already finished her training that day and had nothing else to do so she simply walked around, occasionally slumping herself by a tree and resting for a bit in its shade. During her time relaxing she was approached by a young man, the town's crier. He seemed to be rushing toward her with a note in his hand. When he reached her he bent over in an attempt to catch his breath while she read the letter. Her eyes widen and she looked to the sky, not seeing anything out of the ordinary where she was she grunted... So it had really gotten that bad for the city-states? She thanked the crier and immediately set forth, looking to enroll herself into the military and protect those people fighting the void. However the trip was long and by the time she had arrived the refugee camps had been set up and she looked around, baffled by the many different cities attempting to work together. She listened in on the conference held between the champions and sighed... This wasn't going to work well if they were at each others necks the entire time. She spent a few days there, helping anyone she could with anything she could. The soldiers here looked as if they had faced death itself... and if the void was the same as it is told in stories then she knew not to blame them... While she was walking around she noticed the bulletin that had been put up, reading it carefully. She nodded, packing up her gear and taking the bare minimum of supplies needed. She set forth for the shores of western Ionia.

When she arrived at the refugee camps she looked around and began asking where Firion is.

Christina Mort had been in Demacia at the time of the League's fall, word reached her ears by a survivor, one who had fled in sheer terror and screamed of what had happened before collapsing onto the cold, hard ground. His heart having given out through fear. Her first instinct was to run, her second was to gather all of her belongings and find somewhere safe.

A couple of weeks had passed before the war started, the horrible war of Demacia vs Noxus. By this time, Christina has managed to escape to Noxus, fearing such an event and using some minor foresight of her own. One might say that she was lucky, Christina would say that she just knew these things. As the war waged, she lived quite comfortably. Her times of working for Talon had paid off, making her one of the richest women in all of Valoran but money could only go so far. She still had to fight the masses for ever depleting food sources although she pretty much always came out on top. The masses spoke of a barrier, one they couldn't see but couldn't pass as Christina walked straight into the store, bought the food she needed and walked straight back out.

When Bandle City fell and Noxus and Demacia rejoined forces, Christina didn't feel safe like most did. She knew something was wrong and she knew she had to run. When she could, she left Noxus and just in time. The cloud of darkness had descended.

She moved and kept moving, never stopping, ate on the move and slept only when needed and it all paid off. She made it to the ports and got on a ship to Ionia when Karthus sang his horrible song. Even from her position, she could hear it but fortunately it was faintly but her ears still hurt. Turning away from the retreating landmass, she faced out towards the ocean, towards Ionia, towards her new home.

When she finally arrived in Ionia, instead of joining a refugee camp, Christina was able to purchase a house. Two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, living room, two floors. A plain, simple old house. The price was vastly inflated but at these times, money was worthless. It was just a fight for survival now. To keep herself busy, she tried to help out with war defences, setting up the defences, training the unskilled in her own way. all this time, she had been searching out Talon. Hoping to meet up with her former boss one last time.

Xaiver wandered the lands of Ionia for some time. His reputation grew with each lightning stuck and frozen battlefield he left behind. Few more years had passed with him continuing his personal mission, striking down evil until recent news had gotten to him. Valoran was in chaos, the two great powers have fallen and two new more sinister forces took hold of the land. The paper in his hand crumpled and scorched with lightning fell to the ground as Xavier trekked back to his old village which was still in ruins and run-down. Then a dark man came out of the dark building holding out a note to Xavier. He froze and drew Inazuma, but lowered his weapon taking the note from the cloaked figure. The dark figure was tall and almost eerie...almost inhuman, but before questions was asked it disappeared. Xavier read the note and realized this was a calling. It was time to leave this sanctuary. With the thought in his mind, he left for the western shoreline. Seeing the camps for himself reminded the man of his razed village...his family and friends dead....A shake of the head brought him back to his main objective. His voice echoed slightly as he asks for Firion.

Of all the places he could be, the mage rested upon a thoroughly mossy stone in the middle of a tall waterfall, neighboring one of Navori’s middle-of-range temples. The stone wasn’t exactly wet, but the drizzle of water droplets felt very refreshing. Eredale sighed – a wizard is never late or early; but was this really the time for him to come?

The war with the Void has never ceased – after he had left Runeterra, this was the first thing he learned. Not even the Astral Plane was safe from its influence, and day to day he battled separated scout parties. Patrolling Runeterran space was a routine, until that day, when instead of just several hazy purple emanations and a nightmare or two, there was a full-blown blockade, complete with several clusters. This was not even a sign – a definitive statement, that this time it was serious. What did he know – it actually was.

The Council didn’t sanction use of force, so he was on his own in this. It took over half a year to develop the means of penetration; and half a year more to convince his contacts to assist him. Of course, the most help came from his mentor, who assisted with restrictions and safety nets. The effort paid off – the blockade was breached, or, rather, pierced with the spell that he and his allies had conjured, allowing Eredale to slip through the narrowest lane. Arriving back at Runeterra, he expected to see anything but what he saw.

He has arrived at the outskirts of Freljord’s mountain range, a strong de ja vu taking him for that matter. He couldn’t stay for long though, caught in a phantasmal crossfire of two dark forces clashing against each other madly. Cruise speed, he raced towards Zaun, Piltover, only to find the towns changed beyond belief – both Ezreal and his uncle were gone, Zaun’s Magical Academy was closed, and his acquaintances disappeared.

The goal was now, to find them. He was not worried so much about Ezreal, for he of all people would know how to get around; but a certain student of the Academy that should have been staying in Zaun, was missing. It turned out, she was not the only one.

After hearing the events that have transpired while he was absent, Eredale hurried to Ionia, which seemed to be the staging grounds for the joint city-state defense force. Navori province was where her ‘original’ home was; however, she was not there either. Enduring a furious tirade from her family, he followed to nearby sacred grounds to meet one of his former employees, a prominent linguist and bookworm. He heard the whole story from her – of his five former assistants, only she and the Noxian remained, the other three recorded as missing.

“Hey! What are you doing there? Get down at once!”

The mage’s train of thought was interrupted, as the grounds keeper shouted at him from a nearby lane, looking upwards at his resting spot. Apologizing softly, Eredale stood up, and took a deep breath.

Of the ten people he could find at any time before this cataclysm, only five were possibly alive, and only one was present where he had expected her to be. With this, he only had one option – he would have to join the defence force, and show both Void and this new threat what for. This was no longer just a conflict – the League was no more, and Rune Magic was allowed. The shackes that held him for the past three decades were all gone. This was a Rune War, the sixth. This was, what he was best at.

Those who arrived on the west shore were pointed to an almost deserted tent erected in the middle of the two refuge camps as they entered, the tent would be almost pitch black other than a pair of golden eyes glowing dimly from beneath the helm of the huge suit of armor sitting opposite the entrance. Whatever was in the armour didn't acknowledge the arrivals with anything other than a simple nod of his head.
After amost half an hour of simply waiting the armoured creature finally rose from his position standing at around full 8" tall his powerful voice emitted from the helm.
"You are all that answered the call?"
Disappointment was clear in his voice, he lets out a grunt and silently observse those before him. Though it was unnaturally dark in the tent he was easily able to see clearly.
"Then you will do. You will be silent until I finish talking. As you know. Many of the states have fallen to either the void or the creatures from the north. What we do know however, is that there are survivors within the shroud that covers much of the north."
His eyes seem the flash for a second, yet his voice remains emotionless. He holds out the palm of his hand, a map of Runeterra is projected out of his hand, a few small red dots appear scattered through-out the mainland,
"The dots are beacons, sent by magical means to our summoners by what we assume are the survivors. It is either that, or a trap by whatever lies beyond the cloud. Those who follow me will aid in the recovery or extermination of the survivors or the creatures."
He snaps his hand closed and looks towards the tent as if waiting for someone. After a few moments he simply growls, his dimly glowing eyes sweep over the group.
"Questions?"

Alexandria entered the tent, squinting her eyes in an attempt to see what was there. To no avail she simply waited for the strange man to begin talking, briefly looking over at those who had entered the tent with her. She listened to the information and the plan, so we were going to go look for survivors then? Seems good on paper but wouldn't that mean we're going into the cloud of darkness? The enemies territory? She simply looked at the map, then up at the huge man who she could only assume was Firion. During the entire time she had kept her hand on her katana, ready to unsheathe it if necessary. She didn't want to admit it but the events happening in this world right now were unnerving her, she had a hard time trusting anyone lately... She took a step forward, looking toward Firion with eyes of determination "So we're going into the shadows then? Tell me is it just us? Or have you gotten a force of your own as well?"

Christina followed Alexandria, not knowing who she was. Wearing her usual combat gear of a brown top, brown pants, brown boots and brown, fingerless gloves. Crowbar in her waistband and knife on her ankle, Christina looked positively brown except for her skin and her cherry red hair that had been tied into a long ponytail.

She glanced at the map, heart sinking slightly as one of the beacons was close to Piltover, her homeland and somewhere she didn't want to go but her face didn't betray that fact. It maintained a resoluteness in it. Once the map had disappeared, Christina simply stood there, glancing over those who had assembled with disinterest. She could be out there doing the job now but it looked like she would be with other people.
