It's gotta be the opposing laner starting dorans in any way

When i got my cloth 5 or longsword+1 it feels like free first blood nearly every time

obviously some matchups this isn't the case but most are

Just a noob being curious, but what makes boots-dorans worse than boots-sword-1 or boots-cloth-5?

Sustain.

HP pot restores more HP than a Dorans will give you in extra HP. If you don't noob it up and get killed right away a pot will net you more HP most of the time.

EDIT:
And you get more damage out of a LS than a Dorans.

People run dorans just because of the level one dangers if they ever facecheck a bush or just want to be a little bit stronger than the people having the cloth 5 in a level 1 fight.

Soo...if, say, a level 1 fight was garunteed to occur near the speed shrine, it would be a good idea to start boots+dorans?

but unless you're on the vastly dominate lvl 1 team, what's the point when altars open at 3 and minions hit mid lane by the time jungle spawns? It just seems to me ever since the update it's just to risky to even risk a lvl 1 fight
