Compatability issues with League and windows 8? A friend of mine just got himself a new laptop today, and the down loader for league won't work for him. Every time he pauses and starts it, he has a transfer rate... But it steadily falls to 0.

I'm trying to help him out, but not sure if it's a firewall thing, smoothwall thing, or a compatability issue.

Though windows 8 is not officially supported you can get it working, most likely there is something blocking the download if you are using the generic installer can you try using the one contained here, might be an issue contacting pando's servers:
