nice. only thing missing from that list is pink floyd XD. My favorite band right now is dream theater. check out spock's beard and neal morse, he is a genius.

but muse isn't prog really.

I like classic rock, alternative rock, jazz, classical, and a bit of pop.

Perhaps I haven't given prog a fair chance, but if Dream Theater and Pink Floyd are effective barometers, it is safe to say that I'm not a fan.

yeah prog just isn't for some people. but being a fan, I can say it's atmospheric, ear-gasms at every turn, and much more complex than most music. It takes real ingenuity to write progressive rock, and they barely break even with each album and are so under appreciated that it is a tad sad.
