In my experience so far in the tribunal, most the reports are against players that are complaining to report everyone else. I think Riot even released a list of common words in logs, and people who use the word 'report' tend to get punished more often than players who don't? Something like that, wish I had the source...

In other words, I wouldn't worry about it. Getting reported still has to get through a tribunal and found to have merit. Just being reported doesn't do anything to you unless the chat logs convince the jury to vote you punished.

A while ago Riot banned a lot of people for this type of toxic behavior along with false reporting people.

I see people scream to report someone all the time.
One of the games i was in I was threatened to be reported and the game had not even started yet. While two people one the team where fighting and i was asking them to knock it off.

It happens. Just ignore it and move on.

That may be so Kinvaras, but many summoners don't know that. To most, it is just the system through which they've been punished and think it was unfair.

It's similar to police in real life. One friend does something illegal and gets punished by a cop. They complain about it to all their friends. Now all of his friends hate cops, even though they have no reason too.

That's the rap the tribunal has, especially in low elo normal games. And heck probably low elo ranked too

They wouldn't have been banned if they weren't asses.

You can't come to police and say "I didn't knew murder was a crime"

For what it's worth, I've seen comments like this since the first time I played an online computer game. LoL is the first game I've played that uses a player-justice system such as the Tribunal, and comments like this would still exist even without the Tribunal.

kinvaras,

Try and see through their eyes. Many ragers come from parts of the internet where it is normal to see unbelievable insults with every post. Some come from other games where it is normal to call people noobs, it's just a part of the game.

They don't understand at the most fundamental level that their actions are not normal. Especially since those same actions are so prevalent as they level up. Not all ragers are, as you say, "asses." Some are truly a representation of the gaming environment around them.

That's why so many people are confused when they post to the tribunal. "I know I said this, but only because this team mate did this first!"

Now in no way am I justifying their actions, but what I am saying is that just because they made a mistake, there is no reason to insult them. In fact, that is the opposite of what we should be doing. A lot of people are upset when people post their reform cards. That bothers me too, but what bothers me most is the wave of sarcastic, insulting replies that follow.

Treat everyone with respect.

Can't you even see the same level of response in your own comment?

I mean, doesn't "They wouldn't be banned if they weren't asses" sound a lot like "I wouldn't have raged if they weren't such noobs."

Sorry, but you are not going to make me sugar my words to people like those.

I mean SURE, there are lots of people who makes mistakes and then realize they did wrong and try to be someone better. Yes, those ones deserve my respect, and so I offer them.

But don't come here and try to tell me to be nice with those people who ruin games for fun or simply to make other people feel bad, time and time again, getting punished again and again and again until they cannot be banned anymore because it is already permanent, and then come here and rage like bad mouthed little brats about how "the tribunal is unfair" or "the system is broken" or whatever stupid excuse they have for pretending their behavior should be accepted.

One thing is having a harsh attitude with people like that, telling people to kill themselves over a video game is something else, don't you dare to compare me to those people.

It is the same freaking story about "human rights" on penitentiaries. People care so much for those "poor" people, but nobody wants them around.

do they?

It's not the same as human rights on penitentiaries, it's a game, online. Their crime is ruining games for people. not ruining lives. Your argument is an illogical comparison, a fallacy.

You know, I once saw a reform card posted here, and it went something like this:

The guy who posted didn't understand his ban. After reviewing his card, he was terrible. I mean one of the worst report cards I have seen. His defense?

"You can't treat people like that with respect. You have to retaliate worse back to them to teach them a lesson."

Do you see how you think the same as this person did? That because they are banned you can say whatever you want to them and it's justified?

Why is it different in the forum than in the game? If some one in game was making fun of you and you got angry at them in game, got reported, and went to the tribunal, you would be punished. So why would you bring that same attitude to the forum?

Not every one who posts here is a "bad mouthed little brat." You should try being nice to people before making that assumption. If you start out by being rude, do you think they're going to be nice?

You are like one of the old men in "12 angry men." You don't understand how bias you are until you listen to yourself speaking out loud.

Is it?

Because, I am sure you heard about some people that actually killed themselves over verbal abuse on the internet.

If you didn't, perhaps you should.

Don't come and say "it is just a game, it ruins nothing for anyone", that is just the excuse trolls use to keep trolling every day, without having to feel guilty over telling people to die and get cancer and other horrible things.

don't bother posting anything else about this matter, I am not reading and not answering it anymore.
