I have played ranked through 3 seasons now, I am growing increasingly frustrated with the current set up.

I just joined a match and called top, nothing against that. I was just letting the group know what role i wanted to play. I lock in a champion and player #5 comes back and says he didn't see my call and is going top, I told him i did call it but he said he was going to pick a top champion regardless.

Now, I have to decide on whether i want to lose MORE ELO, or not play LoL for the rest of the day. I only had time for another match and this 30 minute timer has basically stopped me playing for the rest of the day.

I have a suggestion for Riot;

Similar to Blizzard with its Looking for Group, you queue up for a ranked match but even before you go into the match. You have to pick your role so you are grouped with people that make a match up. No clashing, and it will actually encourage people to try roles that are in high demand. Support for instance.

Any thoughts?

Also, i much preferred the 5 minute wait after leaving a ranked queue to a 30minute. Sure less people leave but i would rather have to wait a few more minutes for another group rather than be stuck with the complete idiot who wants to be support Darius.

I did prefer the 5 minute timer with elo loss. But it had its own problems

riot wont do this because it reinforces the meta. however they could allow your team to vote kick a person from team lobby, put the 4 back in queue and give the kicked player a timer penalty equal to dodging or worse. trolls in lobby are a huge problem with ranked and this is a perfectly viable solution with no downsides that nobody seems to want to acknowledge. the idea that people won't be ****** bags in pre-game lobby is naive and there should be methods of preventing their poor behavior from ruining 4 other people's day.
