Enough with the "FoN is gone, there's no MR item" threads.

Yeah, there were alot of points I agree on.

To be honest I wish i could have Trinity for the MS, but I'm stuck between a rock and a hardplace. The call of Frozen Fist is far too alluring to ignore on Hecarim. Since they don't stack it's really tearjerking for me to choose between the items.

Also, the reason I dislike all the items you posted is because they're all offensive. Not that they're bad choices, but my play-style on my favorite jungler Hecarim revolves around him being relentlessly fast and brutal, and bulky at the same time, which is why I really can't grasp the thought of taking most of those items.

Currently the build I'm testing on Hecarim is(which works pretty well, and not listed in any true order)

Frozen Fist (CDR/Armor/Passive)

Black Cleaver/Spirit of the Elder Lizard(Fantastic item by the way, w/FF, it becomes a Pseudo AOE red buff)[CDR/AD/Passive/Health/ArPen]/[AD/Passives]

Merc Treads(Tenacity/MR)

Spirit Visage(CDR/MR/Health/Passive)

Warmog(Health/HP5 <- Essentially a Pseudo FoN)

Choice.

If I was going to build hecarim I'd probably use a TForce over a Fist, and an Aegis(Bulwark) in place of Warmg's

Doing so costs you some defenses, but you'll be gaining in MS and DPS, plus Bulwark is an exceptionally powerful item. TForce rush on Hec in season two was super effctive, and not for the MS. It was efective because of the way his kit works and his ability to function without heavy reliance on offensive items.

Honestly Bulwark+GA+(HP from other items such as TForce and Cleaver) are all you need defensively on anything but a main tank. And even a main tank is unlikely to need any other pure defensive items. 200 Armor, 150+ MR, basically everything you need defensively in two item slots.

My Hecarim solution to pesky mages is Trinfinity Bloodthirster, with Gunblade and Ghostblade for good measure. Few mages have more than 2500 hp, even after armor. Just let somebody else tank and you should be fine, just make sure your timing is on.

Build two Runic Bulwarks, each gives 30 MR from auras, and has 30 MR base. with two that's 90 MR per tank (and a nice 30 to everyone else--hard counters sorc shoes AND liandry's torment, one item), it gives health so it's good on shen etc, gives a moderate amount of armor, and a moderate aoe hpregen.

It's really expensive compared to aegis so it's not great on your support, and it gives you (AND YOUR ENTIRE TEAM) a ton of MR and sustain against teh ebil bursties.
