Hello peeps.
I've been interested in trying kayle on 3s after doing a bit of testing in customs but I tend to lose early laning pretty easily. Can anyone recommend me a build setting?

Currently I'm using 26/0/3 masteries with the following runes:

Arpen Marks
Flat Armor Seals
Scaling Magic Resist Glyphs
Flat AD Quints

I know it isn't the best setting for kayle, it's something generic.
As for build I thought of something like blade of the ruined king, runaan's and cleaver.

Cool a Kayle thread. I just posted a comment about Kayle in another thread. I don't play her near as much as I should but If she is played correctly I honestly believe she is the most OP champ on TT right now. How I build her though requires your team to be made up of bruisers or tanks if you want to be faceroll. If not she is still ridiculously strong.

I go a complete different route. Note that my masteries and runes change a lot to try different things with her. With that said I go AS quints, AS reds, Armor yellows, MR blues. 21/9/0 On the AP side of the offense tree.

Start off with Boots and Dagger. Finish Berserker's greaves first. After I rush Malady. After then it depends on how the match is going but final build would be something like

Berserker's/Malady/BFT/Wits End/Nashor's Tooth/Cap

End build gives you enough cdr to allow E 100% up time, so no more melee range. You get two bubbles. And you do BOOKOO amounts of single target and AoE damage with an "ok" heal. I only ever see Kayle's played the way you posted and I never view them as a threat.

Thanks for the tip!
Her ap ratios are a bit low though. Having E 100% up is fine and all but the cd isn't that long I think. Is truly on-hit the best way to build her?

Anytime you are forced to be in melee range on this map as an ADC is going to be all bad. So having 100% time on E I feel is a must. Her E is not that long of a CD but having your E run out right before they get away is really frustrating. And no she doesn't have good AP ratios but with enough AS you will be hitting like a truck anyways. This build is mainly built around the AS not really the AP. Her passive + Malady's passive + E + Wits does a lot of damage and even more the more AS you have. Your damage is mixed so they can't really build to counter you. You can throw in some AD items if you want. But I do think Malady/BFT/Nashor's tooth is a must have before anything else. Throwing in a Ruined Blade is never a bad thing and I have had a lot of success with getting it after the three. You can solo vilemaw when you do.

I feel like the need of nashor's cdr is more a late game thing, can't I just replace it with a blue pot and instead of nashor build something like perhaps a runann or a cleaver?

Edit: What about skilling order? Lots of guides say Q first because of the damage amp, but I prefer maxing E first, is that wrong?

R>E>Q>W

You can build how you want. Just sharing what I do with her and it has made me think she is the most OP thing on TT. And I have played ~3-400 games on the new TT

I just won a game by following your advices and adding some of my own. Can't thank you enough.
Used your runes and masteries, rushed berserkers, malady, wits and nashor but then I went to rageblade and I tried to finish a gunblade.

The damage is stupid good right? And the ease of farming.

I got told awhile ago by someone else who supposedly mains Kayle that my AP/AS is weak compared to flat AD. But, the build I use has worked pretty good with little editing around all the recent changes to items/masteries. I currently don't have my client logged in so I am unable to look at my masteries, but they're very heavy offense (I even have an experimental all offensive page).

The items I start with are a ring and boots. Ring for a little meat early game, some early AP to splash around, and the mana regen while a little unnecessary is nice. From there I go berserker's, malady, nashor's, rageblade, gunblade.

At this point its up to interpretation of the match. I used to go Black Cleaver to further shred armor on top of my passive, get a little more AD, and just keep stacking AS. While my build lets me deal insane damage, and the AP gives my heal a nice boost too, I lately sell the ring and swap it with a Ruined King. Its even more life steal, a bulk lifesteal active, and more attack damage. I find the armor shred is really unnecessary when you're already shredding armor/magic resist so much that your AS/AP tears people up.

Finally if the game goes on long enough to reach this point, I sell my greaves for a Trinity. More meat, a constant slow (while there is only a % it will work, you land so many hits it might as well be 100% success), steroid from Sheen, and the speeds from Zeal.

As for skills, I go start E, and alternate with Q until I get the ulti, and don't usually take the heal til mid game. I play fairly passive vs enemy champs early and just bully people E while farming (love the splash)

Nashor's + Blade of the Ruined King. Kayle's passive ensures the BotRK's magic damage makes it through, and AS/CDR from Nashor's means you'll be getting more %damage hits, from a safe distance.

Q+W+Blade Active also means no one character will ever catch you if you don't want them to.
