Before the shop was updated you used to be able to hold your 'Centre Camera On Champion' key (spacebar) and have the shop open at the same time. You could see your champion moving behind the shop interface and browse the shop at the same time.

Since the update you can no longer do this so if you're browsing the shop/getting items ready to buy whilst roaming you are no longer able to see when you are at your destination or if an enemy champion is lurking nearby.

If you dont know what I'm talking about then you most likely think im moaning about something really small, but using this method was a big time saver due to my gameplay style. Is it possible enable this again please?

We disabled keyboard inputs for the game while the shop was open to help prevent accidental spell casts while searching. We don't currently have any plans to change that.

One thing you might want to try is using the "Y" key to lock the camera on your champion before opening the shop. I know it's not exactly the same, but it should mostly preserve the old functionality holding spacebar gave you. Once you are done in the shop, you can hit "Y" again or spacebar to unlock your camera.

I was using spacebar too while shopping. Guess it's time to change 2 years of muscle memory.

This was so handy and it doesn't seem impossible to fix. Just ignore keyboard inputs ONLY when the search bar has the focus. It's a shame that after months of developing the new shop still feels like an unfinished product (and I'm not only talking about the space bar thing)...
