Join a custom game. Wait for the countdown to hit 0. The client will alert you that active game was not found.
A theory that someone had was that this bug is caused by someone dodging. People in aram like to dodge a lot, but recently I haven't received "x has left the game." Instead, the countdown reaches 0 and "active game was not found" shows up.
