Why are blocked players constantly showing up on the same team? If someone blocks them, it's a pretty safe assumption that they do NOT wish to play with that person. If they're on the opposing team, that's fine, but they should never be on the same team once they're blocked. Unfortunately, this happens constantly, which punishes innocent players by forcing them to leave during champ select and sitting out for 5 minutes. Then they get another match and... yet another blocked player is on the same team. Why hasn't Riot fixed this yet? How hard is it to not allow matching with a blocked player??

Blocking a player doesn't block them from being in the same game as you, it simply blocks communication from those players.

The block/ignore feature is working as intended.

That's exactly my point: blocking a player shouldn't necessarily block them from being in the same game as you, but it should block them from being on the same team as you. People block players for many reasons, but mostly not because of what they say, but what they do. 99% of the players I've personally blocked were either afk or intentionally feeding during a game. Why on earth would I ever want to play on their team again? Why should I be forced to? When I see them in champ select and leave at that time, now it's me who's being "punished" with a "time out." That makes zero sense, and I can think of no reason why anyone should be punished for leaving during champ select. Better they leave then than during a game.
