it is an AoE attack, just like gunblade skill or blade of the ruined king, activating the active doesnt turn to 100% of the amage to aoe, its just another attack.

when you activate the hydra, it does an skill like riven W, same area of aoe, it doesnt activate to deal 100% of your attack damage as aoe in every autoattack.
