Hey there, a question I had since I started on the PBE, in Live you can get Bots(talking about Custom btw) on "Begginer" and "Intermediate" (There should be "Hard" with Jungler and real challenges) but on PBE ther is just Begginer... is a problem of mine? is this suppossed to be like this?

Correct me if I'm wrong, sorry for bad english

Greetings from Argentina, Riot + Summoners!

Actually I haven't ever gotten intermediate for custom games on live (maybe it's just me). Still don't think they have intermediate bots there. Please check over your information time next the you post.

They have intermediate on Coop vs. AI.

You're right, there not Intermediate on Live, i thought I saw them O.o well, still think that for real test we need challenges, because the queues are very big for a single 5v5, a couple of Hard Bots to feel like in a real game should be good and, we can test on different difficulties to repro on everyone or just for a good challenge

Yea, I wish there were intermediate bots on custom games too. XD

I think it's because they don't want you to set a whole team intermediate and another beginner.

Actually, BuffMePlz (the guy that makes bots) explained in a thread why you couldn't get to use Intermediate bots in custom games...

Basically, there is quite a bit of differences between Beginner and Intermediate, like masteries runes, "rubber band comeback", summoner spells... But the biggest of them all is interaction. In fact, beginner bots are 5x1, where a intermediates are 5. What I mean by it is that other than choosing lanes at the start, beginner bots won't make any team plays (although they may end up coordinated by coincidence). However, intermediate AI is made to coordinate themselves. They will roam/gank, they will sometimes group up and interact like that. Doing so requires "input actions", and AI bots basically have states which simplify that, but doing the same with humans would require to analyze everyone's actions to assess a situation, and from that situation decide an output. It is basically as complex as what already exists, so it will take another "Rise of the Bots" 'till we can see Intermediate in customs

I think the whole point of the topic is why custom games are limited to beginner bots only. I understand if you add bots to a team of even a single human you would have to make them beginners (pretty much autonomous) for coding and gameplay reasons, but what about the opposing team? I mean a team of humans can verse intermediate bots in the co-op, so I was thinking why couldn't a team of me and 4 other beginner bots (I know this sounds outrageously unfair, but I feel it would provide more of a challenge and I prefer honing my skills in solo bot games) versus 5 enemy intermediate bots? I mean I feel like the custom bot-game is slightly limited in that respect.

That's my point exactly, so we can test (i'm not refering only to PBE, also live) our limits, to a real challenge, i would really like that, or maybe a 3 or 1 vs 5, I (by myself) can hold a 1v5 match but is really hard on Early, later i can kick their a***s, i just want to test me vs intermediate or hard
