I have a crazy idea...

What if you have 1 top 3 mid and 1 bot?

Where the bot player picks a champion that is really good at defense, 1v2 and stalls while the mid 3 player lane does some "kill lane" combo and just pushes for easy kill/fast tower?

You can choose champions that excel in this role of early game aggression and 1v2ing... counterpicking enemy champions if need be.

Once the mid turret is down, you will have extremely easy time laying claim to the dragon and the enemy's blue buff

Gold stream. How would that work? One player farms and the others are supports? You're losing a lot of gold and letting the other jungler have free reign on your jungle basically feeding him and making him a monster.

How does this counter the meta?

You're going to end up having one champion in a 1v2 lane getting less than optimal xp and gold, and then three champions in the mid lane getting less than optimal xp and gold. and the trade off is so you can get an early mid tower and then attempt a dragon and blue buff steal. The latter of which is a complete shot in the dark, and the dragon is something that you probably won't be able to do with three way split on mid laners. Keep in mind having no jungler means the jungler can just give his first blue buff to the mid laner which will probably be enough to shoot this idea in the foot.

I think people are way too obsessed with this whole meta thing and trying to come up with different concepts.

Once the mid turret it down, you have three champions that were all just sharing xp/gold against a team of farmed champions with 3-4 levels on you. Taking mid turret doesn't mean anything if they can all just stomp you.

what champion will be farmed?

the top lane is normal, mid champion will be utterly demolished... because you counter pick him and create a kill lane in mid...

Enemy jungle will be underfarmed from having to help mid alot. If he ignores mid, the mid will fall really fast...

If it falls really fast, then there will be little difference between teams (except the lack of enemy mid tower) because there was no time for the opposing team to farm more then you.

The bot will be a bit underfarmed (but prolly higher level), and then get easy blue/dragon...
After the mid falls, the three mid will start roaming, by ganking bot first which will be easy to do since bot will be pushed... because solo bot cant push against 1v2.

One of the mid can also start jungling once mid tower is down

the only thing that happens is that you basiclly skip the normal laning phase and you end up w/ all out
teamfights(if your lucky) else you'll have a very slow 3v2 lane and you'll lose cs and xp

if you want try this try 3 top 1 mid 1 bot basically the solo bot meta

1) You give up the jungle.

2) The enemy can lane swap. It's easy enough for them to move their support/jungle to mid lane if it's necessary.

3) You're relying on winning early. If you don't win early, you're going to lose late.

When you have no jungler, the enemy jungler will steal all your buffs and gank you behind your towers because he knows where everyone is. Yes, the 2v1 top is a bit hard for that guy, but your jungler will probably babysit and top will outlevel the other two eventually and so long as they farm even half decently under the tower.

So basically, in this kind of game you have to secure an early advantage and destroy them with it. If you fail at that, you get weaker and weaker as the game goes on and are eventually destroyed by opponents who have a lot more gold and levels than you do.

1. Whats the problem? You make the enemy give up their jungle too, else they risk losing mid early and losing map control which leads to free dragon/control of enemy jungle

2. True, enemy can lane swap and move support/jungle to mid... but again, this forces enemy to give up their own jungle...

Also, the team that initiated the 3 mid will have the advantage because they would choose the champions that are suited for winning in mid and would have counter picked for mid.

3. being aggressive and preferring to win early is not an unviable tactic

This can work with specific champs, if 2 of the three actually start in the jungle.

Jungle Warwick getting 2 from blue, jungle nunu getting 2 from red, both AS steroiding a mid AD with an AD steroid (Yi?) can probably grab an early tower, before spreading out and going for a roam meta.
