I love this system, but why does it need to go away? Why can't a gifting center with a weekly limit be added, and then increase the purchase limit around special events, such as next snowdown showdown?
Three gifts per week or something would help prevent abuse through account and card hacking, would be traceable, as all purchases get a confirmation code anyways, and would let everyone send, skins, champs, and RP to friends and family whenever they want.

limited skins makes the game more interesting for those who are new and didnt have the chance to get them and see them, its like :O
