You want to focus AD damage - maybe some cool down reduction, maybe but probably not attack speed.

Try to get items that give you one or two of these. Don't get anything that would give you mana.

The Brutalizer , Merc Treads, Bloodthirster , Black Cleaver.

Boots + 3 pots, Brutalizer, Merc Treads, Black Cleaver, Guardian Angel, Bloodthirster. The last two items are situational, you'll probably need more armor/HP so you'd take Randuin's Omen.

5 black cleavers is the big thing currently for bruisers. riven benefits from the stats more than most. she needs lots of ad, her ratios are really high on all her moves. even her shield gets stronger with ad. this is all to make up for her being melee and needing to get close to them, which has it's draw backs.
