I am looking for the Christmas sales and particular champs to go on sale. I'll be out of town over xmas with only a tablet. I cannot figure out how to purchase a champion off the website. Must it be from game?

I'd assume so. I've never heard of purchases like that outside of the client.

The sale should still be ongoing when you come back unless you're going to be gone for a really long time over Christmas. Also, seasonal sales could actually start before Christmas even.

I'm certain Christmas related sales are still going to be ongoing. I'm speaking mostly about seasonal skins and such. I can't be certain about other sales that will take place at the time.
